I have been working with some form of fiber since childhood.  When my own children were small, I sewed professionally from my home. My education in fiber has introduced me to weaving, silk paper, surface design, felting, dyeing, and clothing design. I'm attracted to the geometric and the regular, although not necessarily to the predictable. The complexities of color mixing, interlacements and textures provide me with endless surprises and unanticipated outcomes. My work is  shown at Potomac Fiber Art Gallery in the Torpedo Factory Art Center, Alexandria, Virginia as well as the Fiber Art Studio @ VisArts (The Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts in Rockville, MD), and has appeared in shows of the Creative Craft Council of Washington DC, and the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown, Maryland.
